Valerie Deacon

 

 

Valerie Deacon celebrates the brightest colours in life.  Many of her works pertain to new growth and new beginnings, which are all an “affirmation of life”.  In her series of vibrant works, magnified tulips are painted in a few and bold manner, drawing from natures colour and underlying abstract patterns.  Val’s brilliant palette and textural paintings are like an enchanted world; you are able to see through their layers to what’s inside and beyond.

Valerie was born in Vancouver, BC where she studied art at the Vancouver School of Art. 

Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions at major public art galleries and museums across Canada.  Her work has been purchased by collectors and individual worldwide.  Valerie devotes her full time to the accomplishment of her much beloved profession.  She and her husband Trevor have two children and now live in the interior of BC.
